My favorite gaming podcast

SterlingJones_3/23/2026

It’s not even close.

Good information but boring.

They know gaming very well but I find the vibe to be like an NPR show. I don’t mean to compare to other shows as these guys are genuinely good at what they do, but shows like Nextlander have very good information and also manage to feel lighter and more fun.

Dang…

Ben Hanson is the best video game podcast host in the world. When he left game informer i wept. When he started minnmax i wept again. So glad to see him take a step forward to do his own thing. Love Leo as well you’re hilarious dude. But unfortunately life’s only absolutes, death, taxes, and sad game journalist masquerading as political ops. For the last year or so I’ve ignored the occasional critique on capitalism, and toxic gamers but there is nothing less interesting then listening to people talk about how hard it is to be a games journalist and then use this platform to regurgitate TikTok cat lady levels of political commentary. Ben has brought friends into his fold that are now sabotaging his company from the inside. You’re entitled to your opinion (even if it’s the exact same as EVERYONE else) but to use the Minnmax as your soap box is narcissistic. You know who you are. This show may be going the way of polygon. Oh, Haley you’re cool too! Peace.

Best show

Great group of people, thoughtful conversations and opinions. Have been a fan of them since game informer days and plan on sticking with them as long as they’re around!

Political nonsense now

So radical politically now. Love shows with Sarah and Kelsie who are interesting and eloquent. Was one of the only podcast that wasn’t overtly political and now full of DEI anti American rhetoric. Unfortunately Ben is hard to listen too and caustic.
