Great podcast for those looking to better learn the context in which the Bible was written

I found Dr Michael Heiser and The Naked Bible Podcast about a year ago. Thank you to Michael and all the people responsible for making this available to people. I have read the bible my whole life, not as much as I possibly should, and been in and out of church. There is so much incredible information, knowledge and understanding but most importantly delivered with love, and sometimes humor. This is one of my go to listening experiences when I’m working , driving or relaxing. Incredible. Remarkable. This has changed my life and the way I experience this journey for the better. Look no further!!! Dr. Michael Heiser is arguably the most prominent and prolific theologian and Biblical scholar of all time. He has a Ph.D and specializes in Ancient History and The Semitic Languages and Biblical Studies. He challenges Believers to begin studying and reading the Bible with great consideration and understanding of time, culture, lifestyle and worldview of the writer and to let the Bible alone speak for itself and not what other normalized Christian Theology teaches and how those things originated. He gives highly peer reviewed, credible and practical and sound Biblical evidence to questions most people might have about the Bible. He gave us soo much information before the the LORD called him home! Hallelujah! I’m sure the LORD is pleased and said “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter to the rest of The LORD. Praise GOD for Dr. Heiser!! I have truly been edified greatly by his work of truth and love in Christ The LORD!

Mike’s podcasts continue to shed light on so much of my Biblical studies! I went out and purchased a Septuagint because of his references to it. Wow, talk about differences. Every morning I can be found running through the pages of one Bible or another searching for the marrow in those old bones! And the bones have been brought back to life, in part, because of Mike and Trey.

I also found Dr. Heiser after his passing and am very grateful for his legacy. I came across him while reading Scott MacDonald’s book on demonology. This podcast is tremendously helpful and I have been a believer for decades. Such a treasure!
