I love all political podcast from the NewYorker!

David Remnick is a skilled and incisive interviewer. He keeps these things from being cooked PR exercises and makes them something greater.

As many others have said, Remnick needs to give space to the conversations he’s hosting. I’ve unsubscribed because so many beautiful moments were ruined by Remnick being unable to control his impulse to interrupt and insert a thought that is unrelated to the moment. I love the New Yorker and I hate this podcast.

I get it — sometimes a guest might be apt to drone on about something uninteresting. But more often David Remnick interrupts guests when the are actually *answering his question* in an interesting way. It’s so frustrating. Argh.

David Remnick really needs to stop interrupting people while they’re trying to answer his questions. Give them the space to fully articulate their thoughts and finish their sentences. It’s not only rude; it’s unhelpful. The result is an interview that feels half-baked and frustratingly incomplete—and, ultimately, becomes really annoying for the listener.
