The Occurrence in River Oaks

There’s definitely a well-crafted story here, and overall I enjoyed listening through. But man oh man, something went wrong in the audio normalization department for this show, and I don’t understand how these things were missed / glossed over during final edits & reviews. 1. The alien bug sounds were usually set to a WAY higher base level of sound, which would hurt your ears. 2. During loud screaming & yelling segments, a ton of audio clipping would occur, resulting in that low-quality crackling scream sound. The mics couldn’t handle the input. 3. There was a like 30 second segment during the final episode where, and for no reason at all, the volume dropping to borderline nothing. I cranked my volume all the way up and could barely hear anything, only for the audio to return to normal and blast out my ear drums. 4. Just overall mic quality was a bit rough around the edges here and there. Again, I liked the story, but these issues make it hard to give a higher rating.

I really liked it until it blew my eardrums out in episode three.

Loved it. If Sci-fi Horror is your Fave, then you’ll love this Series. Give it a couple of episodes and you will be all in. With Zero Spoilers coming from me: This was different in a great way. I really enjoyed this AD as it wasn’t typical and there were some surprises. I sure hope there will be a Season 2! PLEASE?
