Love

I love this podcast so much! The guests are so insightful and I love Eric’s own journey and honesty about his personal life. Whenever I need a little positive boost, I listen to this podcast. My only negative feedback is the editing. Lately it sounds choppy when guests or Eric are speaking; it almost sounds like when a cd player skips. Along with the adds that jump out of nowhere sometimes, it could use a smoother transition. But overall you can feel the love and effort Eric pours into the podcast🩷

This Podcast will Change your life

hannah angeles•9/8/2026

I have been listening for years. This podcast has been there for me when family and church could not/would not be there in those darkest moments when my marriage fell apart. This podcast has been there when I couldn’t afford counseling. Eric asks the questions that are always on the tip of my tongue! He truly yearns for knowledge and healing and growth as I do. I have been looking for a community of people so I can share what I have learned in this podcast. I also am always looking for people who think like Eric and interact the way he does. This podcast gives me hope. Even if I don’t find people like Eric, I know they are out there. I cannot begin to show the gratitude I feel for this podcast. Eric is also so respectful even if he doesn’t always agree with people and his guests are as well. That’s so refreshing in this society. So many people do not know how to disagree with respect for each other and that doesn’t make any sense to me. I’ve longed to tell people all I have learned through the challenges I have faced and this podcast is wonderful because all those things I have learned are discussed here and this information is reaching people ! Again thank you!!

Have been in love with this show for 12 years

The one you feed has been incredibly impactful in my life. I’ve been listening since around 2014/2015 and have watched you guys grow and step into your voice. You guys are amazing and I don’t know why I’m only saying this now after all this time but please keep doing what you are doing. I have used your show to help navigate emotions and addiction and life since I was a teenager and I’m so grateful it and you guys exist. All the love

Eric I love your show. I couldn’t figure out how to message you. Congratulations on being on NPR (July 2026) . Wanted to comment on the episode where you mentioned Sleep with Me. SWM is the greatest! Your show was the only time I’ve heard anyone else mention it. It helped me fall asleep countless times when I suffered with insomnia. I don’t think it’s for everyone but it was one of my go-tos There is a podcast or you tube out there that explains how his storytelling style works to help sleep. Thanks for your show!

Wonderful guests and ideas

Emeraldman•7/7/2026

The quality of the guests and depth of ideas is unmatched. If I were to offer a suggestion, it would be this: sometimes Eric lets his enthusiasm dictate the conversations. If you’ve listened to multiple episodes, you’re familiar with Eric’s story and approach, but generally not those of the guests. I wish he would dial back his comments and instead let the guests expound at length on their own ideas and experiences. I agree with those who say the parable becomes repetitive, and I forward through the first part each time. Maybe a version of the parable itself could go in the show description instead of in each show?
