Overall, quite predictable

willow-sc6/6/2026

It’s fine, but I feel like I’ve listened to it before I’ve even listened to it. I am pretty well able to predict what the analysts will say. Fairly standard liberal establishment stuff here. Again, fine, but don’t expect to be surprised, challenged, or even much entertained.

5.13.26 no stars for Andrew Marantz

Staff writer Andrew Marantz is a moron to think prosecuting people from the administration that lost who.., WHO committed crimes definitely need to be investigated regarding those crimes and must be sentenced to prison if applicable or we will be right back where we were this feckless garland doing nothing or assigning a prosecutor too late to prosecute trump’s stealing, holding, trying to hide the boatload of classified docs and we all know trump he no doubt made is making money off of them. Look, south korea & brazil both stopped their seditious/insurrection incited leaders point blank and that was the right thing to do. we didn’t and here we are again. like I said, Andrew Marantz is a moron.

Those billionaires

Danny Boy1005/9/2026

You suggest that billionaires will one day feel shame again and be forced to rein in their inherent corruption. It appears to me, in this class, shame is gone—if it ever existed. As you note, the robber barons used PR to justify their wealth. Today, perhaps, the modern equivalent of Gekko’s ‘Greed is good’ is Shame is irrelevant.

Temporary 1 star

Love this podcast. But responding to David Remnick interview of Steve Hilton. (I’m a big fan of yours David; however…) As soon as Steve Hilton said he didn’t like decentralized power…the obvious comeback should have been “well, than how in the heck can you support Trump who is doing everything beyond what any previous president has done to centralize all powers in him personally as executive branch leader? But David you swerved…and soon ended the interview. This guy, as Brexit Farage-Facsist-Fan, should go home. He’s not going to be good for the USA. Do the right thing Californians. Think beyond your personal pocketbook.
