Fun, Lacks Substabce
An engaging show, especially at first, but as it goes on, it runs out of steam. Still, as a fan of Dracula and Stoker, there are interesting questions. This probably could have been four episodes—maybe 3 would have been better.
Meh
Ok way to kill time I guess, but mostly it’s just an attempt to create content out of a failed investigation.
Engaging but Disorganised
The premise is interesting—though I wouldn’t call it provocative—and the journey is pleasant, but I found the podcast to be disorganised both in its narrative structure and in it episodic presentation. I felt the podcast hurried too much for such a complex subject, and I suspect that the decision to limit the episode count is the reason for what I feel is the disorderly narrative. I was interested in what I understood to be the premise, but I felt the execution fell short. The narrator is great, and I enjoyed the journey—I am not disappointed with the end being uncertainty, just with the way the narrative was constructed and how the episodes were presented.
Yawnfest
Boring.
Imperfect, but interesting.
People grousing about the ending fail to understand that it’s not about the destination, it’s how you get there. There is a bit of people making mountains out of molehills in the story, but overall it’s a fascinating, worthwhile, and enjoyable story.
