Utterly lovable

American here, who discovered them during World Cup. Adore this genuine, lighthearted couple. Hilarious banter that makes me smile every episode. Never stop doing you!

I’m a better husband because of this podcast. I laugh, and I learn, and I’m better for it. Thanks to you, Crouchy and Abbey. Wife and I adore the pod!

Idk

sonica_s•7/14/2026

Idk if it’s fair to leave a review after listening to only 1 episode, but I feel like this 1 episode is enough for me to say this is not my show. First, it takes them a good 15 minutes to start talking about anything of substance. Second, someone wrote in (very vulnerably) and asked for advice on making friendships in their 30’s or 40’s. The writer, who was a woman, noted she comes across other women who need to schedule a hang out 6 weeks in advance, whereas her partner is able to go to the pub with his mates spontaneously. This is such a good question and a very real and common experience. Instead of validating this, the girl podcast host proceeds to say the woman asking the question might genuinely be a boring person. Like, what?!?!? And then goes on to say how day-to-day is exhausting, especially when you have kids. AND THEN MOVES ON TO THE NEXT QUESTION. I stopped listening at that point, because 1. Didn’t answer the question and 2. I got very much this, “oh, that sucks. I can’t relate. Good luck,” vibe of arrogance. The girl (I use girl and not woman intentionally) podcaster is so stuck in patriarchal thinking patterns, I don’t think she should be giving ANYONE, let alone other women, advice.

Cringe

I heard about this podcast after listening to abbey & Peter on nearly weds with Jamie and Sophie. Must say abbey & peter are much funnier & nicer to listen to, good banter & they both seem equal throughout the episode. Will continue to listen!
