Beautiful heart-wrenching story

ILoveSnoop•7/21/2026

I have binged this story in 24 hours and was sucked in immediately. Somehow I follow his Irish brogue…and it’s lovely & poetic. What a tragic childhood, but Joe has strength and drive for truth and goodness. I wish him a peaceful and happy life ahead. Well done to the creators of this podcast.

Binged in one day

Yes, the inner-city brogue can be tough at times but it’s a crazy story. I feel like the bad reviews are people related to Brian Kenny. This was underage kid trying to survive, he sold drugs but that doesn’t mean he deserves to by physically & sexually abused and live in fear as an adult for trying to do the right thing in the end. Jesus people are mean. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t!!

Boo hoo

Wahlnope•8/27/2024

This podcast is such a boo hoo story of a weak personality met with the every day experience of so many Americans. The narrator spends the entire podcast weeping about being such a victim as he dealt heroin to mothers and children. Sorry you got yourself into a scary situation, dude, but you are in no way as innocent and you clearly believe yourself to be.

Gut wrenching, but inspiring

Wow! This podcast is one of the most emotional I have ever listened to. I am so happy Joey has come out the other side. Praying this evil stays in prison. Todd O’Laughlin is a very good friend of mine and he is a very sincere caring man. His letter brought me to tears. I thought I cried enough listening to Joey’s story, but then came Todd’s letter!

Hard to understand

As an American it was hard to pierce through his Irish dialect-I’m sure a full understanding of his words would have made this a 5 star podcast for me.
