Not a good podcast

Jez, a European who lives with his girlfriends parents, and Rand, a semi-active YouTuber who may or may not live in his parents’ basement, join forces to lick Microsoft juice off of each others faces. Jez will wax poetically one moment about the perils of capitalism, while defending Microsoft’s business practices in the next. Rand from Chicagoland tries to play the straight man, but criticism of his love of walking simulators such as Hellblade 2 and his excitement for games with “recasting” such as Alan Wake 2 often vexes him. Either way, don’t touch their no no squares by suggesting that Microsoft is moving towards becoming a multi-platform publisher and away from being an exclusive video game platform.

Not only do they cover the most relevant topics but there’s really a strategic bent to it, giving you insider institutional knowledge regarding how Microsoft and Xbox brass tend to think and act in this wildly lucrative but at times volatile business. Not only that they’ll discuss what games they’re playing or what’s good, what’s coming out. It really gives a unique view into the business of Xbox gaming and the love of gaming overall. Was looking for a podcast just like this and listened to a few before thing this one and have been listening faithfully ever since. Pass the Mayo!
