This Might Get Weird

Grace and Mamrie have only gotten funnier, smarter, and more relatable with time! Been listening since 2019 and they are a very bright spot for me in a time when myself and a lot of the people around me feel hope deprived. Keep talking about WHATEVER it is yall want. We need people speaking on things more than ever. Love these girls!

I was surprised that the hosts would share a voice clip from a 20 something year old who describes 30 and 40 year olds as “no longer trying new things” and essentially giving up on exciting things in life. This is pretty irresponsible and unfair. While these podcasters may not have kids of their own, I felt that they were indirectly discrediting the experiences of people who have had to put their own personalities on the back burner to raise families or focus on things in life that have to be done. While a 20 something year old might be silly enough to think that 30 and 40 year olds just ‘become boring’ without acknowledging what really occurs during these years in terms of demands (and no help from society), broadcasting that message is irresponsible and a miss for the hosts to stick up for people who are actually working hard and struggling.

Baffling that these two still have a podcast, and worse yet that there are still people out there listening to it! Folks, not everyone needs a podcast. Can we collectively stop caring about quirky LA centric folks who are neither accomplished nor funny but once got a book deal for being quasi-internet famous? This whole category of nobodies can go imo. Leave them in 2010 where they belong.

LOVE THE POD AND THE POLITICS GIRLS!!

I’ve been listening to this podcast since 2019. Marmrie and Grace make me laugh and I enjoy their silly banter. As someone who is a “moderate” on the political spectrum it can be tough to listen to their political rants. They are so disconnected with reality at times and what life is like outside of living in LA. It’s funny how I can listen to their podcast even though we don’t agree on a lot of political topics, however, I’m sure they only ever consume content that validates their existing views. Broaden your minds girlfriends. Read some unbiased sources. It would do you well to step away from the extremism!
