Timesuck with Dan Cummins

I love this podcast I have been listening to it since I was a young teen now I’m 23 and just gotta say your doing awesome love the content and hearing your point of views even if they aren’t always mine. you deliver facts and are respectful and open to hearing other opinions.

Great show on both Bourdain and the growth of food culture. Saw Bourdain speak, but unfortunately he spent most of the time dissing Paula Dean. I always thought he was so cool before hearing him slam an easy target. It was obvious that something was upsetting him other than her.

It is really disappointing to have to write this review, but after being a loyal Timesuck listener since 2017 I just can’t do it anymore. Over the past year Dan has taken a hard woke turn to the left and can’t manage to keep political rants out of the podcast. I was a big fan of Dan’s material. I used to look forward to listening to every edition of Timesuck regardless of the topic. I was also a regular listener of the “Is We Dumb” podcast (they even used my “Would You Rather…” submission). In those days politics rarely came up, and if it did it was covered in a sensitive and balanced way. For some reason this is no longer true. About a year ago I started avoiding episodes covering topics that sounded like they could turn political. Lately it seems like every episode contains leftist political rants. I was here for entertainment, not politics. I may tune back in from time to time to see if this problem persists, but for now, sadly, I am done. One out of five stars. Something really needs to change.

I have learned so many new things from Dan and always get a few good laughs out of every episode along with a surprising amount of useful information. Format is polished after years of honing his craft, but I appreciate the older episodes and wish he could bring some of those back with a longer format and additional information. Love the show, hope it goes on indefinitely!

I genuinely only listen to timesuck and STD, nothing else hits.
