Well written, imaginative
Nathan Lowell’s writing is like slipping into a perfectly imagined, fascinating world full of interesting people you’d like to meet. Hard and bad things happen, but within a warm, rich setting. I enjoy how the realistic details grounds the story. You know what? I like reading books centered around a smart, decent, likable central character. It shouldn’t be so surprising, but it is. Mr. Lowell’s writing is comfortable to spend time around, like a boss and job you still remember fondly decades later.
Enjoying this so much
I discovered this recently and have gotten sucked into the story and characters. The writing is very good and his narration is spot on. I haven’t been this drawn into a podcast for a long time. When I found out it’s almost 20 years old I was surprised because there’s nothing about the story or audio quality that makes it seem dated.
Pretty ok
The dialogue in this show kills me. The Lois could be run solely on by ish with the unlimited knowledge he has and how he has never been wrong about anything. Don’t even get me started about how every woman he meets says “dam ur good.” He is an enigma.
Wonderful
I find myself chuckling aloud at least once an episode. Truly excellent writing. The story has such deep textures - a delight to listen.
