Under Cover of Knight

Not sure how this ever became a thing. I finally stopped mid-way through episode 8 (I gave it a chance) when it became evident this is a story of a very unfortunate life with some weak attempts at drama based on 30+ year old evidence none of which was documented or even remembered well. The majority of the old information sounds like the product of overactive imaginations. I would recommend you don’t start this but if you have, stop now.

I am shocked by the amount of negative reviews; they almost convinced me not listen. This is an interesting story of human nature and the life of an interesting person. The angle of the story telling didn’t pan out to be what the hosts teed up in the beginning but the story overall did not disappoint. Would recommend!

The interviewer doesn't do follow up questions; a lot if "oh's" and "I see," as if they weren't even interested themselves. I wanted to like this, but it drug in for far too long and decided to try another show.

I too, thought this was true crime based on the description but after the first few episodes, it slogs along and no answers are provided. The “investigation” gradually became a much slower character study, and episode after episode seemed to add very little new information. The podcast kept suggesting there might be a major revelation ahead, but the payoff never matched the buildup. The production quality is good, and some listeners may appreciate the exploration of memory, identity, and storytelling. However, if you’re expecting a true-crime mystery with meaningful answers or discoveries, you may find yourself frustrated by how drawn out the narrative becomes.
