Vanished: What Happened to Vanessa

John Q is a great podcaster and has a great ability to share Vanessa’s family side of the story which we might never have heard due to John’s Spanish skills and cultural heritage. Thanks to John and to Vanessa’s family for the strength and courage placed on the Army. I am disappointed in the Army deflecting so much blame or refusal to acknowledge truth, and the current Secretary of Defense’s attitude—displayed September 30, 2025 at Quantico. Thanks for including that in this podcast!

Did anyone else not notice they kept calling her a military officer as a PFC? Along with the suspect who I believe was a SPC? That’s quite the mistake to make it through editing if anyone was familiar with the ranking system. As PS, it bothered me enough to stop listening even though I’m quite aware of the dangers of Ft Hood and how this story shines a light on the ongoing tragedies befalling SMs.

Why does the reporter talk in this tone? Does anyone really believe this is appropriate for such a podcast and topic?

Why does every podcast ABC does sound like an episode of Dateline from 2001? Just stop, your narrators sound like idiots. Tragic story, great coverage but ruined by the contrived archaic delivery. All the hosts sound the same and it’s not good.

What happened to Vanessa and many others should NEVER be allowed. I was gripped by this story, for sure. Heartbroken as well. Keep fighting! To John Quinones…VERY DISAPPOINTED in you and ABC but I suppose I shouldn’t be. I really can’t believe you hijacked this girls tragic story to insert your glaringly obvious liberal partisanship. Did we hear from Pete Hegseth? Was he able to rebut anything or clarify? No. Shame on you. Thanks for making clear that not only will I refuse to watch ABC News aka CLOWN SHOW, I will no longer listen to ABC podcasts OR your own show.
