You won’t be sorry

The best cosmology/particle physics podcast I’ve found

Cosmolamute2/4/2026

The focus on cosmology and particle physics is surprisingly hard to find. They explain the topics at a perfect level—more depth than most comparable shows aimed at a lay audience, but clear, understandable explanations. Shalma asks outstanding questions and explains complex math and physics ideas clearly. Great guests.

Even I understand

They an amazing job taking complex ideas and explaining them to non physicists. Also go Badgers!!!

Once Great

So I LOVED the first year of this podcast. So in depth, and interesting. Now it’s like so many other physics podcasts… let’s just interview the author of the latest book. Too bad. :(

they don't dumb it down

hooper and wegsman address central issues in the world of cosmology and physics without dumbing it down. at times, that can make it challenging for a non-expert (i.e., people like me) to follow, but it is worth the effort. terrific science podcast. (now i am begging wegsman and/or the show's producers to get her to re-record the promo for the show where she says listeners will get to ask "Dan and I" questions on the AMA episodes. i keep thinking with every new season someone will tell this physics expert she is failing basic grammar, but so far, it hasn't happened.)
