Within Reason

I’ve been searching for a podcast that is balanced and not as dogmatic as so many I’ve come across. Admittedly it tests my understanding and at times is uncomfortable. However I always come away with a better perspective from which to form an opinion or at least continue to research. To the extent that Alex gives respect to his guests and is so diverse in his knowledge is the very reason I listen.

I enjoyed hearing his views. It would be interesting to listen to a thought experiment. Given what we understand about the human experience, allowing that we don’t know everything, imagine that god does not exist. Imagine that humans created god and religion. What are the kinds of ideas, hopes, and fears etc represented in god and religions? How do humans represent themselves in the gods and religions of their own creation?

I want to say as a Muslim we also believe in Jesus ,Mary , Moses , all (peace be upon them ) we listen to Mohammed (peace be upon him) from the teachings of God.

Never a great sign on a guest driven show when the host talks more than the guest. Alex struggles to let the guest be the focus of the show.

Wow! This podcast is amazing! Haven’t even finished one episode and I’m hooked. I’m almost 60 and my dad I had conversations like this all the time while I was growing up. And yes, I’ve wondered for years why AA batteries still suck! It was pretty cool when they came out with rechargeable AAs. Anyway, thank you! Love the content and style 👏🧠💟
