WW2 was not funny
McManus provides some interesting commentary but overall it's pretty shallow coverage. Hymel is irritating with his glib and sarcastic comments and constant interruptions. The back and forth happy talk is so inappropriate. WW2 was a worldwide catastophe in which millions were slaughtered. This does not make it fodder for half-baked comedy. I wish the hosts would take their topic much more seriously and stop trying to turn it into a "Cartalk" radio program or semi-serious pop-history. It's good when the hosts simmer down and address the subjects with professionalism. The rest of the time is just fast-forward.
Educational and Entertaining
I enjoy these episodes because I learn new things and entertained. Both the podcasts and YouTube channel are great and you should subscribe. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent podcast! I like the format. I’ve come to “know” John C McManus via the We Have Ways and the Unauthorized History of the Pacific War podcasts (both highly recommended). So I’m glad he is doing one now as well. I’ve not heard of Kevin before (sorry, John don’t pile on) but I will be getting the first volume of his Patton trilogy! Mark is the silent weapon of this podcast. Much more than a producer. Keep up the good work and please keep these coming. These stories, history and perspectives need to be told! God Bless.
